Human Trafficking
Most people have no idea that trafficking has become such a lucrative business or that it has surpassed the drug trade for supply and demand. It is a multi billion dollar business that preys on the most vulnerable. Unfortunately, some of the very heads/founders of organizations to help survivors were the same people abusing and trading the victims themselves. Predators buy, sell and trade them with no remorse.
What can we do to help?
Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 82 :3-4
There is more outrage over plastic straws in the ocean than our children that go missing everyday. Where is the outcry? Who is their voice while they lay crying in the dark? The atrocities these children endure should have everyone in an uproar. But, they are forgotten, lost among the shadows. They are a trend when it gives bored housewives' a purpose to feel they are doing something. How about actually, I don't know, DOING SOMETHING. Something more than making them a hashtag or a fleeting project to make yourself feel more important? If more people would spend time in the 'woke' culture bringing attention to and calling out these horrendous crimes, we could actually gain some ground. The people who commit such crimes count on these things being washed over or forgotten after the next cycle of news flies by. As long as nobody is looking, as long as nobody cares and remains self involved this evil can continue and will......

In 1932, Congress gave the FBI jurisdiction under the “Lindbergh Law” to immediately investigate any reported mysterious disappearance or kidnapping involving a child of “tender age”—usually 12 or younger. There does not have to be a ransom demand nor does the child have to cross state lines or be missing for 24 hours before the FBI will become involved. -FBI.gov

The use of social networking sites, apps and messaging services make it easier for predators to hunt victims, collect personal information, and initiate contact.
Prior to the use of technology it made it harder to access this information, and now in the digital age we are fighting this battle on a new level. With everything moving toward virtual reality, things WILL get disturbingly worse.

Unfortunately, the assault in the previous article will not be the worst presented to our most vulnerable. How will we keep them safe?
